BlankWe are Magic 5.5SR1 going to 5.6 this summer. We are in the planning
stages of starting to barcode. We do not charge for things from MM but instead
put in supply charges in OE and that is sent to billing. Is anyone using
barcode scanners to scan in supply charges through the OE module? If so, how
are you doing it. Right now the staff has to pick a patient, then the category
of SPD and then type in or choose the appropriate charge code and the quantitiy
for the item they want to charge. I hate to think that the staff would be
pulling up the patient in OE, then having to type the category, hit enter, scan
the barcode of the supply, hit enter, type in the quantity, hit enter, etc.
There has to be an easier way. Any ideas?
