Hi, We are trying to create a policy for patient naming conventions to be utilized house wide at our facility. We have end users entering in patient names various ways when it comes to hyphenated names, names that have a period within them (St.James), names that have a Jr or Sr associated to them or a numerical value such as John Smith III, etc. Does anyone have a policy already created for their health care organization that they are willing to share? I have reviewed the on line help and Knowledge Base but there are not any recommendations within the Meditech documentation that I can locate. We are hoping that implementing a policy will cut down on our amount of duplicate records. We also need to make sure that we are able to find the patients in a standard soundex search. Thanks a bunch! Liz
