I'm not sure what it is you're trying to do, but it looks like you are
comparing a date, then if true you want to assign one of the WHOLD amounts to
AMT.

Macro statements aren't like VAL/LC statements. You can't span multiple lines
with them.

A better way to write your statement is:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]'<(b.pay.date$4_0101)'>(e.pay.date$4_1231) @ASSIGN.WHOLD}^AMT

ASSIGN.WHOLD
[EMAIL PROTECTED];
   @whold.amount[02];
   @whold.amount[05];
   @whold.amount[06];
   @whold.amount[07]}

And you don't need to nil out AMT, as it always gets a value (nil if the
statement evaluates as false).

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] simle question on NPR Macro

Happy Easter everyone..
I have the following macro in an NPR report, it keeps saying invalid
termination due to the fact I don't know what punctuation to use to continue
down to the next line. Can someone tell me the correct punctuation that
goes after the (whold.amount[06])!
""^AMT,
[EMAIL PROTECTED]'<(b.pay.date$4_0101)'>(e.pay.date$4_1231)
(@whold.amount[01])!(@whold.amount[02])!(@whold.amount[05])!(whold.amount[06
])!
(whold.amount[07])}^AMT

Thank You
