Chinook Health is currently a partner in the Regional Shared Health
Information Program (RSHIP).  RSHIP is a unique information management
system that shares one enterprise medical record among seven of
Alberta's nine Regional Health Authorities.  MEDITECH's Client Server
platform is used by all participating regions and Chinook Health has
implemented all core clinical and business systems. 

 

The regional Laboratory, Pharmacy and Diagnostic Imaging departments are
fully automated and a PACS system is in place.  Chinook Health has also
implemented the MEDITECH Operating Room Manager and Emergency Department
Manager.  We are now developing standards for the Advanced Clinical
applications which will enable all nursing and therapy staff to utilize
on-line clinical documentation at the point of care.  

 

The Manager, Clinical Applications is an exciting opportunity to lead a
team of experienced application analysts and clinical informatic
specialists toward a digital transformation in the clinical areas.

 

*       Proven organizational skills, supervisory skills and clinical
applications knowledge.
*       Experience in a complex environment with recognized healthcare
knowledge and leadership.
*       Demonstrated experience in managing clinical applications and
planned organizational changes.
*       Excellent communication, presentation and group facilitation
skills.
*       Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
*       The ability to work in a high-pressure environment and adapt to
change is essential.
*       Knowledge of the health care user environment is essential.
*       Previous experience with MEDITECH clinical applications is
desirable.
*       Candidate should have 5 - 7 years experience working in a
healthcare environment with management responsibilities.
*       A combination of post-secondary education in an appropriate
healthcare discipline and Information Systems is desirable.
*       A valid driver's licence is required as travel throughout the
Chinook Health region is required.
