Hi All,
I'm going to try posting this again, as I haven't seen my first. I was wondering how other sites are handling dictionary maintenance in LIVE. Do you have IS staff only maintaining dictionaries, a combination of IS staff and users, or users only? Obviously some dictionaries have more cross-departmental impact and possible patient care/safety ramifications when they are changed. Is this a primary determining factor in the designation of maintenance responsibility? Do you have documented what individual(s)/department(s) are responsible within your organization for the maintenance of dictionaries in the various modules? Do you have a documented process for communicating dictionary changes to the necessary areas? I would appreciate any information you would be willing to share (i.e. outline of dictionary maintenance responsibilities by module, communication process for dictionary changes, etc. Thanks in advance, Kathy Kathryn Olson Applications Analyst III Palos Community Hospital (708)923-4528 This message and accompanying documents are covered by the Electronic Communications Privacy Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
