Create a Macro - lets call it <init> and enter the following code below.
(Then on page 3 in Footnotes do an AL START init)
Whenever you want to convert a computed field just do something like :
@phone'~/INTEGER : Will strip anything but numbers.
I believe Iatric has this on their site as well.
@TRANSLATE.NUMBER.STRING
TRANSLATE.TO.INTEGER
D(255):48_("0123456789")_(D(255):69)^/INTEGER
