Our Human Resources Department is doing some research on personal blogs of
employees and asked me to post this question - Do other hospitals have
policies or guidelines that reference personal blogs of their employees -
if the blogs contain information relating to patients (no names listed) and
other employees they come into contact with - describing details related to
the patient case and/or the facility; and/or co-workers) - possibly
compromising patient privacy, possible liability for the facility, possible
damage to the reputation of the facility or other co-workers referenced in
the blog, ethical boundaries crossed, ect.

Have you had instances where this occurred at your facility? How was it
handled?
