It is time to pick your brains.. We are trying to computerize the medicine
reconciliation form in Meditech. The basic scheme is:
1. Enter into the assessment (CDS using universal med list codes) the med
list.
2. The data is pulled up/edited by pharmacy or MD.
3. At discharge, prints out in NPR the medicines to continue as well as new
medicines (old ones not to continue are dc and not on list).
Now for the questions:
1. I was wondering how it turned out in Meditech. Was it a great success?
2. The Director of Nursing has asked for Demo Recallable data to come up on
it... I was wondering if this is done, could it corrupt past entries (i.e.
they were on aspirin and was stopped. When removed from current list,
would it be removed from the past assessments as well?).
Thank you so much for your help,
Troy
