I sent a message last week regarding our update to 5.61. We were having
a problem with the option: Document Intervention by Location.

This routine has two new features:
1) It can also be run for a user's list of patients
2) It can be added to the Status board

Both features are very nice.

However, there were two "bugs" delivered as well.

1) Patients are sorted by patient number instead of room/bed.
2) If your list identifies patients by room (bottom half of E/E your
patients) your patients don't appear.

These issues are resolved with DTSs: 8577 and 8499.

The big issue for Order Entry is with the Cancel/Ammend orders.
Meditech added a second screen that requires the user to identify the
ordering doctor again (a real pain). In the process, there are two bugs
delivered with that screen:

1) The routine never actually cancels the order
2) After attempting to CO once, the system wouldn't accept CO again,
until the user exited out of the routine.

These problems were fixed with OE DTS 11535 and 11531.

We had to ask for all four of these DTSs, so you might too.

The next "bone stuck in our throat" is every time we identify a patient
in OE and NUR, the system asks "Are you sure?" We're trying to get rid
of that as well. Meanwhile, I can tell you what we're sure of....

I hope this update helps some other facility go LIVE a bit easier. All
and all, OE and NUR upgraded from 5.4_2 to 5.6_1 pretty smoothly.

Thanks for the messages from those hospitals that recently went LIVE.
We appreciate your help.
