We have a hard wired pc with scanner in our isolation rooms. For those in a different room, we would do as Nancy does if possible. If we don't have enough carts, we treat it as we do if Lab has to take an EKG machine in. We would wipe it down after bring out. I suggest you look at what your institution's policy is on EKGs and adapt. Another thing to think about, there is really no part of the cart or scanner that needs to touch the patient.
