a Senior Network Engineer proficient in Cisco networking engineering and

SR. NETWORK ENGINEER/TECHNICAL SECURITY ANALYST: Full-time. Requires
experience with CISCO products; firewall management; network monitoring and
mangement; security compliance monitoring; programming (Perl, PHP); project
design; and server administration. Knowledge of intrusion detection
systems
and countermeasures. Must take department call rotation.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The SR. Network Engineer/ Technical Security Analyst implements and
supports information security initiatives throughout the organization and
provides support for all technical information security initiatives.
Investigates and recommends secure technical solutions for network
connections
to individuals, contractors, vendors, and business partners. Provides a
security focus for Internet firewall management by implementing rule sets,
monitoring intrusion attempts and system logs, ensuring firewall
configuration
supports the organization's information security policy.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education/Degree: College degree in Computer Science or a closely
related discipline; vocational or trade school certification; or
high school diploma or equivalent plus three years professional
experience in at least one of the following fields: information
security, network administration, database administration, or
mainframe/data center administration. A Certified Information
Systems Security Professional rating is desired.
B. Experience: In-depth understanding of network systems and
security,
LAN/WAN experience, telecommunications skills, and a strong
background in Linux server installation, configuration, and
troubleshooting required. Experience implementing secure technical
solutions - firewalls, extranets, intranets, virtual private
networks, remote networking implementations, strong authentication
and encryption - is required.
C. Other: Experience in programming and database application
development preferred. CCNP perferred.
