Hi L folks, Does anyone have any ideas on what to do with the unknown meds that populate the Pyxis formulary from order entry. We are constantly creating meds we would never entertain placing in the Pyxis. Our Pyxis engineer said he could block these meds with the med mnemonic. I just can't see righting rules to block each and every med individually. I have seen this question, but yet to see any solutions about the verification of med orders from the physician order entry in the ER. It is my understanding we need pharmacy to verify these orders even if it is after the fact. Does anyone have any clever ideas how to meet JCAHO requirements with this? Any help would be much appreciated. thanks,
