I am not sure that I can answer all your questions but will try.
1. Nursing can be used in the clinic. We use it in a limited format. For
our Protime patients. - Both Fingerstick and lab draws. They document
the coumadin doses via the Assessment routine. I don't know that there
is any documentation about this. I don't think you would want to
attempt the care plan routine, etc.
2. In order to document in Nursing, you need the patient to be
registered but they can be registered via CWS as well. But you do need
admissions. You also need a
MRN so you probably need MRI. Whether you need to do a full
implementation, I am not sure what you mean by that.
Our clinic is set up as a different facility.
If you are using Nursing in the hospital, you should already have all
the pieces you need for the clinic.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Nursing in an outpatient setting?
I 've searched high and low and haven't found anything so I'm posting a
couple of questions to you on the L:
1) Can the nursing module be used in an outpatient setting? If yes, is
there any documentation anywhere?
2) In order to implement the Nursing module do you need a full
implementation of the ADM and MRI modules?
We are a Magic 5.5. site. Thanks.
