We are a Meditech Magic hospital that updated to version 5.61 on March 7th.
Since the update we have had many issues with our subscriber files.  When we
register patients and enter the subscriber information it appears fine on
the screen but once we file the registration and print then many times the
subscriber information is different from what we just entered.  We think
what might be happening is that when we enter the subscriber information  as
we need it and leave the field of "Relation to Patient" blank the systems
seems to keep our subscriber information, however we need that field
populated for billing purposes.  If we populate the field it appears the
system is changing our subscriber information and pulling it from the
subscriber files that might have been created at a different time.   There
was a new parameter added on page 5 of the Customer Defined Parameter under
the Demo Recall Parameter section. The parameter is "Review Subscriber".  We
set our flag to Y per Meditech. I wonder if that is causing the system to
change our subscriber information upon filing a registration.  We tried it
at N but could not see a difference.  Meditech patched in a couple of DTS's
but neither solved our problems and they really have not been a lot of help
with the issues. 

 

We are wondering if any other Hospital is having subscriber issues or did
have and if so how did you resolved the problems?
