I am getting ready to implement NUR to the first of 5 facilities in September and on our Pain Management Intervention we have added a query that asks them when they are to reassess for pain. The staff are to enter a time. That particular query is on the nurse's status board next to the intervention column and the status board header reads PAIN REASSESS and the time will default into the status board row. This is the only way that seems workable for our staff. I have thought about asking staff to change the frequency of the pain management intervention but that appears to be too much work with changing frequencies. Post the answers that you get to the L - I'd also like to see what others are doing. I was wondering what some of you do to make sure pain reassessments are documented?
