My Respiratory manager asked me to post this for her:
"WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO SURVEY OTHER MEDITECH HOSPITALS TO FIND OUT HOW THE RESPIRATORY CARE DEPARTMENT IS MEETING THE 2 IDENTIFIER NEED IF THEY USE THE SYSTEM THE WAY WE DO. WE DO NOT HAVE A MAR THAT GOES TO THE BEDSIDE WE HAVE A MANUAL PROCESS THAT LISTS THE PATIENTS ON A CARD BY NAME AND ROOM NUMBER ONLY FOR THE THERAPIST TO WORK FROM. I REALLY NEED AN AUTOMATED PROCESS FROM MEDITECH THAT CREATES WORK ASSIGNMENT FOR STAFF." Respiratory has a manual process for determining workload shift assignments using a point system and placing patient assigments on cards for the therapist to round with. They document their tx interventions and enter patient notes. We would really appreciate any input from you! TIA!! - Shelley, MIS clinical analyst
