Hello Meditech-L!

I'm working on my 3rd revision of the EDM IV Maintenance
documentation screen and we are still having an issue with RNs documenting
DC times for IV infusion. I sit with the coders and they try to explain all
the rules with hydration, i.e. we can charge for 31 minutes hanging and then
we can't charge until after it's been running for 91 minutes. We can't
charge if it's KVO..MY EYES GLAZE OVER AND I'M THINKING WHO THE HECK CAME UP
WITH THESE RULES!!!

Anyway, if you have come up with a creative solution to these
issues and a good documentation tool for IVs in the EDM application can you
please send me a copy? I really need an IV screen that will be user
friendly to the RNs and give the coders what they need to charge for all
IVs. I will be forever grateful for any help you can provide!! Thank you
so much in advance and happy Friday!! - Mike
