Does anyone have this issue...

We are C\S 5.3 sr 3 soon to be 5.5 sr 2 . Most of our providers
electronically sign reports in MEDITECH and we use MSWORD 2000.

We frequently have problems where the provider can sign reports but as
soon as they try to edit a report they get a message
that a session of MS Word is already open. The user swears there isnt .
They reboot and that causes locks which MEDITECH then
has to clear. Its a mess.

The other issue that is similar is the provider is electronically
signing reports , goes to edit and for some reason on some
computers the correct word window does not move to the front of the
screen so the hourglass comes up. The correct window
can be brought to the front by clicking on the session on the task bar ,
but the providers dont understand this . They see the
hourglass and reboot or do a shutdown. This causes locks and again
MEDITECH has to fix. Some computers dont do this and
work they way they are supposed to .

Then we have both these problems on Citrix session as well as pcs that
are at the hospital. This just complicates the issue
further because then the Citrix servers are involved.

Anyone have any resolutions ?
Thanks in advance.
