1.) AOM orders: Is anyone using an NPR report to track incomplete ambulatory tasks (labs, procedures, etc) which have been ordered for a future date? We're looking for a way to better manage the list of tasks in PWM for orders that have been ordered in the future as a tracking mechanism/verification process. Currently to look through all future order PWM tasks, there are too many steps to take for this quality insurance piece. If anyone has any ideas please pass along
2.) Tracking results in EAR result entry: When results are entered into EAR result entry, then the user clicks Verify, this completes the task and automatically sends the result task to the physician that placed the orders. The physician has several options, to Acknowledge, Forward, Add Message, etc. Regardless of which option the physician decides to take, this creates a Note on the patient's account. However this Note is not attached to the original order and results. Is anyone using an NPR report as a way to provide an audit trail on for result tasks? We have to be able to prove and reconcile that the physicians are receiving and reviewing all results.
