We experience the locks almost daily.  In the beginning, we were able
to clear them at facility level.  What I was told is that Meditech put
in some sort of functionality to automatically clear these locks.
Unfortunately, as you mentioned, it could take 15 minutes or more (I've
personally seen 45) for that to happen.  Ours is not just eMAR, my main
problem is with OR documentation.  When our nurses are doing real time
documentation, this can interrupt the flow in the surgical suite.  In my
opinion, when it impedes patient care, it is unacceptable.  I have
voiced my opinion verbally and by email to everyone I could find in our
market and customer support.  Good luck.  I'd like to have the ability
to clear at facility level back.  That only took seconds to resolve the
issue.
