Memorial uses the PICIS c/s product in our OR. We have grown the
application extensively and have experienced response issues even though
all of the tell tale measures seem to be very acceptable, i.e., network
traffic, workstation utilization, even data base server utilization.
Workstations are all w/2000 and up, Pentium 4 or greater, with reasonable
memory. Are there PICIS users on the 'L' that have experienced and
overcome a performance issue similar to this? It seems that the response
degrades as the day progresses, should we be performing data base
housekeeping more often than nightly perhaps?
