We have been using the Chloroprep for cleaning the site for Blood
Cultures for a while and have not had any problems - in fact I know we
have not had nearly the problems with contaminated cultures. If you
need more info I can get rates from our infection control person -(she
is the reason we switched in the first place)

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Lab exp with ChloraPrep single use preps for
BloodCultures

We are entertaining using the single use ChloraPrep One-Step Frepp
applicator as the site cleaner for blood cultures. Anyone have any
experience with this product? Mainly interested in contamination rates.

Thanks
