Jim - I remember tackling this one years ago to no avail. I don't think there is a way to "default in" the default printer, but - should you find a useful answer - you should shout it out to the L. (There are some good reasons NOT to allow a default, not the least of which is the tendency of users to get lazy and print to the wrong printer simply out of habit. This is somewhat of a problem with the current default settings, but not as bad as it would be under your scenario.)

Sent: Tuesday, July 10, 2007 1:08 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Print On Default for NPR Custom Reports To Meditech L, I have some users that want to save a few keystrokes by always defaulting LOCAL at the PRINT ON prompt when running their NPR custom reports. I have searched the Meditech KB (Article 6625 is not exactly what I am looking for), Iatrics (It may be here but I just don't know what keywords to put in for search), Google Groups to no avail.... Has anyone had the need to default the device on the PRINT ON prompt? It seems this would have been asked about before and there would be a solution somewhere out there....but I can't find it. I am experiencing brain freeze on what I would think would be a simple answer to a simple question.
