Summary of Duties: In collaboration with the Director of Information Systems, coordinate the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of the clinical information system (CIS). These activities may include database building, programming, data collection and cataloguing of gathered information, documentation of the process, etc. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the process involved in these activities. Coordinate the process of revising and implementing changes in both the automated and manual components of the CIS. Respond appropriately to requests and concerns from end users or others affected by the system. Provide primary support for NUR, EDM, BMV, E-MAR and POM. Assist other module leaders in OE, PHA, RAD, and ORM. In collaboration with the Education Department, provide proactive end user support of the CIS including but not limited to training and education. Coordinate and provide for the evaluation and development of training and in-service programs for end users, including nursing staff orientation to the CIS. Facilitate collaboration and communication between Information Systems, Health Information Services, the clinical managers and directors, medical staff members and other stakeholders, as well as outside vendors and company representatives, with regard to the planning, development, testing, revision, and maintenance of the CIS. Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years experience Supporting Meditech's Advanced Clinical Applications in a Magic environment. Advanced knowledge of NPR attributes and macros. Network experience is a plus. Prior experience working with Summit Scripting Toolkit and InSync is a plus.
