Has anyone encountered problems with ordering meds/labs/rad off the EDM
tracker? Our issue is anyone who enters orders off the tracker is recognized as
a physician and go in esigned, even if it is a nurse who entered a med. All
orders off the tracker are recognized as POM orders even if not entered by a
physician. You can imagine the problems this creates. Meditech states this is
how it is designed. Can anyone share their experience and knowledge on this
issue? We do not want to tell nurses and secretaries they must go into OM to
place orders. It is so much easier to place orders directly off the tracker.
