Hi all,
We have a hospitalist program that provides coverage from 8 am to 11 pm Monday
- Friday. Because the hospitalists do not provide care after hours and on
weekends, we have been using the patient's PCP as the "attending" and these
hospitalists are covering for the PCP. They associated themselves to the
patient in the OE Administrative Data screen.
The problem with this system is that we are not capturing statistics on the
hospitalists. We use healthmetrics and they capture attending at time of
discharge.
Do you list the hospitalist as the attending, in MEDITECH ADM, at your
facility?
If so, do you change this field if the hospitalist coverage changes
during the stay?
