Meditech does support attributes. That support is limited to when they are evaluated and adding your "third party programming" into their own when the screen is translated. I don't understand how you think that Meditech should be held responsible for all the different ways non-programmers could find to make something work. We need to be realistic here.
If you purchase Microsoft Office and start to use Excel as it comes out of the box, but then find that your spreadsheet would be improved by creating a macro or some complicated formula, you would not expect Microsoft to "support" that part of your spreadsheet. They might host frequently asked questions or a forum on their web site, but their support team would not be responsible for making sure you are referencing correct cells or using appropriate logic. The same holds true for Meditech and attributes. They support our ability to use them, they don't support the code we put inside them.
