Kim and everyone.

You are on the right path regarding this issue, but you seem to be
missing the actual point. The FCL attribute type has many unique
features from the other attribute types. First, you can have as many
different FCL attributes as you need. These are delineated by the
number following the FCL, i.e. FCL1, FCL2, etc. As you implement the
FCL attributes on a given query, they must always be numbered in
succession beginning with 1. The FCLn attribute type can be implemented
with, or without, a corresponding FCLAn attribute. Each attribute type
(FCLn, FCLAn) is evaluated separately and is constrained separately by
the same syntax checking and length rules as any attribute. The purpose
of using the FCLA attribute is to stop the user from being able to
advance past this query when the correct situation is true. So, you
would choose the FCLn by itself if you simply want to display a warning
box to users, but not force them to change the answer. You would
combine the FCLn and FCLAn in order to require that the user change
their answer.  See these samples:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]>100

[EMAIL PROTECTED]("Responses greater than 100 are not allowed, please
change!")

[EMAIL PROTECTED]>100 @W.err("Responses greater than 100 are not
allowed, please change!")}

FCL1A=1

Both of these attributes accomplish the same thing. Any response
greater than 100 will not be allowed. Notice that when you combine the
FCLn and FCLAn, they function together as an IF Statement. So, the FCLn
is the condition and the FCLAn is the action. Any time that the FCLn is
true the FCLAn is triggered and the cursor will not move forward. You
could replace the number 1 in the second example with a nil ("") and get
the same results.

There is nothing magical about putting the whole thing on the same line.
Look at these two attributes, which will both work the same:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]>100 @W.err("Responses greater than 100 are not
allowed, please change!")}

[EMAIL PROTECTED]>100 1,

[EMAIL PROTECTED]("Responses greater than 100 are not allowed, please
change!")}

Patricia, You might want to try this. Substitute "QUERY1" for your
first query mnemonic. Place the attribute on the second query. I think
the key is that the complete attribute must be on ONE LINE to work.
Makes it a little challenging to get it all to fit.

FCL1=IF{([ANS,"QUERY1"]|0>102)&(@.response>100) @W.return("Notify MD")}

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Attribute Help

I have an attribute that I have written that if 2 queries are answered a
particular way a popup window comes up. The popup comes up but the
screen hangs up with this attribute though and the user can't proceed
through the rest of the screen. The attribute is:

 FCL1=(@.response>102)&([ANS,"NURP"]|0>100)

[EMAIL PROTECTED]("Please call physician and consider Sepsis Protocol.")

I'm probably missing something little but can't figure out what it is.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
