Project Manager/Team Leaders Meditech Consulting

The Position
We are a privately owned, leading provider of advisory services in the
healthcare industry, specializing in adoption of clinical information
systems and we are seeking a Project Manager and Team Leader(s) for a major
Meditech Implementation project.  We value consulting, leadership, project
management and technical skills. We seek individuals who have a history of
demonstrated quality client service.  The successful candidate(s) will be
responsible for overall project oversight and progress and ensuring project
goals and objectives are met. They will guide and direct, along with the
client, the project and the implementation process.  Team Leaders must be
Meditech subject matter experts in either ancillary systems or have an
excellent understanding of overall MEDITECH functionality combined with
project management experience. We are a virtual company with our corporate
location in the western suburbs of Chicago. This position will be assisting
a Midwest client, but does not require relocation. Travel commitment is 80%.

Job responsibilities will include the following:

*       Coordinate completion of project deliverables including project
plan, issues lists, project charter and staffing plans.

*       Provide overall project updates, documentation and direction.

*       Ensure on-time, on-budget status for overall project.

*       Coordinate with the Client, and third parties on staffing
requirements.

*       Manage Project team and Third parties.

*       Identify and manage risks and quality assurance issues that arise
during project.

*       Responsible for controlling the projects scope once approved by the
Client.

*       Work with Project management office and project managers to ensure
project progress is reported on timely basis

*       Work directly with project leadership on communication and issues
resolution.

Ideal Qualifications 

*       Bachelor's degree with a Clinical focus or Nursing experience (RN);
Master's degree a plus.

*       Preferably five or more year's industry experience with Meditech
software implementation.

*       Recommended five or more years in Consulting or in a key leadership
role.

*       Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office
applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 

*       Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as
problem identification and resolution skills. 

*       Knowledge of clinical information systems and vendor market.

*       Experience in clinical operations, managerial positions in
healthcare organizations, clinical information systems process improvement
and quality initiatives.

*       Very strong project manager experience and familiar with project
management tools and techniques is a plus.

*       Experience in delivering healthcare services and solutions in a
hospital, healthcare vendor or professional services environment is
required. 

*       Effective team manager who enjoys working with a variety of
disciplines, physicians, nursing, executives and clinical services. 

*       Experience in definition, refinement, design, development and
delivering of technical and/or business solutions is also required.
