To that end, I'd like to try to kick off some discussion about which
CMS we want to use long-term on meego.com. Currently we've got Drupal,
because the Intel team was available to deploy it for the launch,
however I'm don't know if Drupal fits our needs best (personally, I
don't believe it does, but I'll leave the specifics of that up to more
qualified individuals).

Drupal is also among the largest open CMS projects out there with a large number of modules available for it. Technically it seems to be stable and runs a number of large sites. The developer base is also quite large.

A "robust ecosystem"; developers and plugins and stuff like that, is a crucial factor when choosing a tool because if you have to modify it for your needs, or maintain it, you need developers who are familiar with the code. We should use this criteria for any tool.

I am a bit concerned about both Intel's and Linux Foundation's willingness to be accommodating to the community however. Nokia has proven itself to be sensitive to the community's needs, deploying resources that the community requires. I would like to see the same from Intel and Linux Foundation's side. For example;
- is there someone from the LF on this list?
- Or is Intel willing to switch the MeeGo CMS should the community wish it?

(I am not saying that switching is necessarily what the community wants, I'd just like to know how Intel views this, since right now, they hold all the keys to the servers and would have to make the change.)

+1 from me.
