Henri, thank you for this. Now there is plenty more stuff on the News
plate. Do you want to drive the whole thing with the goal of completing
the work well before the MeeGo 1.2 release? Say feature complete by
2011-01-20 and everything ready by 2011-03-24.

This page is now called http://wiki.meego.com/News.meego.com - thank
you!

Let's continue, since this News section needs to solve a wider problem
now: embrace the microblogging activity and guide the media to the good
right stuff. Have a look to the wiki page and share your thoughts here.

People like Reggie or Jaffa pushing the MeeGo Daily and the MWKN could
have a look and see if there are points of collaboration/integration
with their projects.

I will leave the backend to Mike/you. About the frontend this would be a
News section reachable from the related homepage blocks and the "News"
item in the navigation bar. No matter what is the engine behind, the
look & feel should be exactly the same.

"News" between "Community" and "About" (as you have it) sounds good to
me.

I'm not so sure about the smaller community once the voting is visible
in the News section and the homepage. Why not keeping it as it is and
change it only if we are unhappy after watching the news for a couple of
weeks or so?

Look at http://wiki.meego.com/News.meego.com#news.meego.com_structure
and you will see many opportunities to make it prettier. I think it's a
serious task for a good web designer, actually. Who feels like drawing a
mockup?

Until now Dawn has been doing this work. Let's see what she says when
she is back from holidays. Have a look to the proposal of having a
formal Media team:

And there is http://meego.com/aggregator/sources - managed from
http://wiki.meego.com/News.meego.com#Blog_aggregation_checklist . We
need to run this aggregation through a single place and a single process
handled by a single team.
