Hi, I recently packaged irc-chatter, the Harmattan IRC client for Nemo (it's sitting in home:w00t:ce on COBS if you'd like to try it...)
After some graphics fixes, it's pretty nice. Has been tested on Lenovo, and xruxa has tried it out on n900. It's probably not perfect at this stage (apparently occasionally disconnects on n900, but needs some troubleshooting to see where the real problem is...), but I think we should consider including it in official images as it is quite a lot more user-friendly than the IRC solution I remember us having before, we could possibly add a patch to add #nemomobile & #mer to default channels.
