I don't want to depend on any kind of defconfig at all.
you now have me confused :(

[1] wanted the config sizes to be reduced. Just the diff.pl alone will not help for this. using the savedefconfig helps as shown in the stats as part of this patch. so what exactly is the criteria for config-board file?

method a)
make oldconfig
cp .config config-board-bloated
perl diff.pl config-generic config-board-bloated > config-board

This is what I had done,

Method b)
make oldconfig
make savedefconfig
cp defconfig config-board-tiny
perl diff.pl config-generic config-board-tiny > config-board



I want every config option for MeeGo to be explicitly picked, and consistent between the kernels as much as possible.....
is this realistic given all the new configs that pop up between kernel revs?
