Hi,
From repos.meego.com<http://repos.meego.com>, I got hold of a meego 1.1 netbook image. It does not have yum installed
but have zypper. I can install packages from a tool under "Applications" -> "System Tools" ->
"Manage Apps". But I cannot see to do so from zypper. I located entries that are type "pattern" and when I
issue zypper to install those packages by name, it said package not found.
Am I not supposed to be using zypper at all?
you are.
please show the commands you have executed and the output of them so we
know what exactly you're trying.
to install groups/patterns with zypper, use:
`zypper install -t pattern pattern-name`
use `zypper pt` to find out what patterns exist.
On a fresh image I normally have to do a 'sudo zypper refresh' before
attempt to install any new packages.
