Could you share your plan of target version for these telepathy stuff.

The plan is to keep the versions in Trunk reasonably up-to-date wrt the newest released versions. As Telepathy components are developed very quickly, the newer versions often contain very useful API additions and/or bug fixes.

Sadly I couldn't package the newest versions at the time because glib 2.26 wasn't available when I was packaging them (and I didn't know it's going to be included soon).

Telepathy spec changes are backwards compatible, ie. it only adds new API - it doesn't remove existing.

Telepathy-glib 0.13.8 indeed has one backwards-breaking change - deprecating tp_bus_get(), which can cause applications to break if they use -Werror. However, to avoid it, I've added the patch reversing this behaviour to the build.

All components in devel:telepathy build correctly against it.
