Hi Patrik, Are you sure that "Work weeks are currently off by one week when comparing US and Europe"?. I though it is only one day. In US weeks starts from Sunday and in rest of the world from Monday.
If it is only one day, it should not be an issue to use ISO week numbers. Nobody is doing builds on Sunday anyway :) -- Sergey -----Original Message----- From: ext Patrick Ohly [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, December 09, 2010 3:46 PM To: Gerasimenko Sergey (Nokia-MS/Helsinki) Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: [meego-packaging] ISO week system for iteration numbering On Do, 2010-12-09 at 12:40 +0000, [email protected] wrote: > Would it make more sense to use some more human readable convention? > For example ISO week system http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_week_date The problem with that is that the US does not use the ISO week system. Work weeks are currently off by one week when comparing US and Europe (and the rest of the world? ;-) With many Intel colleagues being in the US, such work week numbering would just add additional confusion. -- Best Regards Patrick Ohly Senior Software Engineer Intel GmbH Open Source Technology Center Pützstr. 5 Phone: +49-228-2493652 53129 Bonn Germany _______________________________________________ MeeGo-packaging mailing list [email protected] http://lists.meego.com/listinfo/meego-packaging
