In particular who has the authority to say "oaktrail is supported in MeeGo"? How on earth did kai end up working on a kernel adaptation? In all of that did no-one have the time to create an FEA? actually, Oaktrail was supported by the main kernel package until the TSG new policy came into place; the reason Oaktrail currently cannot be in the main kernel package is that it needs a huge graphics driver patch and thus does not match the rules to be in the reference kernel.

Could someone have opened a browser and gone through the trouble of filing a FEA and then lobbying all the approvers to get it approved quickly? Of course. You can say that for any little thing. But should that be needed for something like this? Does it add any value at all to get a better MeeGo?
