Hi,

Thanks very much for the quick reply. Hope you are having fun skiing :)

Perhaps this was a very polite "no", but I couldn't be sure from your email.

What exactly are the steps I need to take to get access to OBS?

I really only want to build a few OSS packages normally present in other linux
distros. Having access to OBS would ensure that:

1. Everybody can benefit from the packages being available
2. Packages will be built and made available through OBS, presumably this is
quickest and easiest way to do it

Otherwise, perhaps I can set up my own little OBS locally? Can you point me to
some instructions how to do this?

Thanks,
Ivan

Yes, we should fix that page to improve the instructions.

x-fade and I are enjoying a ski-week... we're usually on irc for a few
hours a day though. Sorry if we've missed your requests.

We need people to confirm that you're doing 'opensource' development and
your meego.com account name to enable you on the OBS.

Incidentally, the current 'opt in' approach seems like it's worth
continuing - there have been a fair few people doing non-opensource
development; expecting to be on core OBS; wanting to do complete MeeGo
rebuilds; asking for 'group' OBS accounts etc

I *do* see a simple 'checkbox' opt-in that says "I've read this stuff
and I'm not going to abuse the system" as being a good compromise. We'll
get to it.

David
