yea, the update is hurting things for meego-ux, and not having the
update is hurting the original MTF handset. to make things worse I'm
about to have a compositor fix for something exposes itself in the
current version in Trunk that's critical for meego-ux but doesn't really
expose itself on the MTF UX.
Let's just go ahead and create a new package for the meego-ux needs. I
hate the four letter word, but in all reality this isn't a fork but a
stabilization on a different version. Those of us depending on the
meego-ux version have to deal with backporting interesting fixes that
show up in the upstream project and push any real innovation
upstream.... but so be it. you gotta spend money to make a product.
to be clear... i'm recommending opening the log jam on the pending
devel:qt-mtf compositor sr, and I'll take on create a new package.
