+Copy the xbmc lanch file to /etc/xdg/autostart to run it when
startup(BMC#17326)

why do this?

you can just start xbmc itself directly from uxlaunch by putting

        session=/path/to/xbmc

in /etc/sysconfig/uxlaunch

which is better, since, if xbmc would ever crash, uxlaunch will terminate and
get restarted automatically. You do not get the benefit now and you're wasting
CPU resources starting another session program that is never visible.

Mutter is used because XBMC might not be the only thing you want to use ;-)

For example there is the TV browser (based off chromium) that launches from
XBMC.

in that case, make sure the xbmc.desktop is set to high priority and restarting is enabled using the X-MeeGo-* extensions available in uxlaunch.
