we can yank the MeeGo Netbook UX and use Xfce4: I spent some time in the last weekends and it's entirely ready to be deployed as basic desktop - including theming and things like pluggable media, basic layout for netbook screen sizes etc. (not a joke...)
It will help us move over quicker since everyone can get working netbook images - we won't be stuck working around packages that can't be removed for a while for a customer that doesn't exist...yet.
