We really should write some guide for doing local testing. But here's a
quick summary.

You can install testrunner-lite to the device and execute tests in the
device without having to setup the networking, etc. (this is the simple
way) or..

For tests executed from a host machine you need
- N900 with MeeGo running in it (helps if the image has the package
eat-device installed)
AE Sorry, I have no N900 here. At the moment I have only a beagle board
and our Renesas ARM SDB
After doing, what is described in [1], I have the package
eat-device-0.1.2-7.1.armv7l, but no file eat-device.
Where do I get it?

- Testrunner-lite or eat-host from [1]
AE ARM SDB: As I described in my last eMail ... How to qmake, make or
whatever create this binary?
(Downloading the testrunner-lite from gitorius.org gets only Makefile.ac)
How to convert Makefile.ac to Makefile?
On Ubuntu, the testrunner-lite is installed.
ARM SDB: zypper install eat-host
Loading repository data...
Reading installed packages...
Resolving package dependencies...

Problem: eat-device-0.1.2-7.1.armv7l conflicts with eat-host provided by
eat-host-0.1.2-7.1.armv7l
 Solution 1: deinstallation of eat-device-0.1.2-7.1.armv7l
Solution 2: do not install eat-host-0.1.2-7.1.armv7l ### What should I
choose?
UBUNTU: E: Couldn't find package eat-host

- The device connected though usbnetworking to your pc [2]
AE Do you mean the serial interface of (my ARM console) to my Ubuntu
minicom?
I am trying the normal IP interface, now.
- tests [2] (you can find those from *-tests packages)
AE "find . -name *-tests" gets no results (same on Ubuntu)

beware that the eat-* packages install ssh keys for the root user. You
can live without those but in that case you need to enable passwordless
logins through ssh manually [4]

After that you can execute the tests with testrunner-lite [5]
testrunnner-lite -f tests.xml -v -o results.xml -t [email protected]
AE This means, that I have to use my ethernet connection to my ARM SDB
instead of my serial console connection. Is this right?
On Ubuntu, what package (or gitorius files) do I have to install for "-f
tests.xml"?

Feel free to join #meego-qa-tools @freenode and ask questions. I'm
pretty sure that summary left many questions unanswered.

hat-control is software that controls an upcoming device used for
controlling device-under-test's power, usb-connection, etc. More
information will be made available when the device itself is available.
Would be cool if someone could put it's specs into wiki.
