Thanks for reporting, this is clearly a bug. I created a new bug https://bugs.meego.com/show_bug.cgi?id=15389 There are plans to enable full MediaWiki syntax at some point but this may take a while. That HTTPS thing is quick to fix so I'd expect a fix to be released soon.
