Anyway, it's best that you rename back to - > tests to avoid potential conflict. testrunner-lite does not read /usr/share... or care about packaging it executes any valid test xml you give it as parameter. Like Timo said it also supports manual testing so you can run the manual mcts cases from the xmls also. OTS on the other hand looks test xmls from /usr/share/<test package>/, also the -tests package name requirement comes from OTS side.
