I actually just encountered a similar thing myself yesterday; I'm not sure
whether something has changed with guile 1.6.8 or... In any case, there
is a simple workaround:
In the file libctl/main.c, change the line
ctl_include(INCLUDE_SCM);
to
gh_load(INCLUDE_SCM);
Let me know if this fixes your problem.
