Does anyone have any experience implementing lossy materials such as graphite, gold, silver, or other, using meep's lorentz model? That is, what omega, gamma, and delta-epsilon values work well for which materials in which frequency ranges, and according to which references? Every numerical solver has a different way of modeling dispersive materials. Right now, it's not very easy for a new user to jump in and run some simulation with some standard, well characterized lossy materials. They must find some references, and try to find the correct polarizability values which fits a curve to those references. It would be nice if we could share this info here on the mailing list, and perhaps even collect it on a wiki page.
