when I do this in a distributed simulation (mpirun) it crashes on this
kind of functions giving the following output when the function is
called the first time:

flux14.250:, 0.255702675668923, 2.11349954312971e-13,

I also tried various other approaches, including the one given later on
in this thread.

Is this a bug or should the function be put in another format to run
properly with mpirun?

I'm using the latest debian packaged version (0.10-2+b1) which outputs
as version:

$ meep -V
Meep 0.10, Copyright (C) 2005 Massachusetts Insitute of Technology.
Using libctl 3.0.2 and Guile 1.6.8.

so if it's fixed already in 0.10.1 I'm sorry to have bothered you.
