Dear meep helpers:

In my previous posting dwpr was the miss-typing of dpwr. I post again.

I had a problem with accumulating outputs over the run time. After all, the
problem was solved with the ctl code provided
by prof. Steven G. Johnson (in response to Florencio Garcia) a few days ago. I
truly appreciate it.

With the code, I was able to get time-averaged dpwr output for a gold target in
vacuum under a continuous plane wave of
electric field. (The source was similar to my first posting one hour ago.) Now,
I have new problems as follows.

(1) dpwr is supposed to write E*D/2 or epsilonE*E, whose time average under
vacuum should give 1/4. However, the time
averaged dpwr gives almost zero in vacuum area? (I get the same result if I
accumulated many h5 files and averaged them
individually.) Isn't this strange?

(2) The time-averaged dpwr shows negative values inside the gold target, which
is understandable since epsilon of gold
= -22+1.48 i at the calculated frequency. Then, what is the value of epsilon
that calculates dpwr. Is it -22 in this case?

(3) The output-epsilon shows the value of epsilon at the gold region is 5.967.
How did this value come out?
