When you have large number of processors, especially on a distributed system, you are much better off using HDF5 with --enable-parallel. For non-parallel HDF5, Meep has some hacks to simulate parallel I/O, but it depends somewhat on the filesystem semantics and tends to be problematic except on single shared-memory multi-core nodes. _______________________________________________ meep-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://ab-initio.mit.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/meep-discuss
