- There are real and imaginary parts, that's a factor of 2.
- If the dft plane is in between grid points, the arrays will contain values 
for the nearest grid points on either side of the plane, that's another 
factor of 2.

I hope you realize that the flux file layout is not officially documented 
(not counting the source code...)
With mpi, the layout depends on how the workload is shared among processors.
